Many people do not believe that they have the requisite creativity to earn money online. In other words, they do not believe that they have the natural creativity to develop a marketable product or idea which they can exchange online for currency. For these people, I have put together a list of seven ways in which you can instantly access your natural creativity and create anything you like.
1. Go Back To Your Childhood
As adults, we have been conditioned in a manner aimed at showing how astute we are. Conversely, as children, we were closer to a blank slate, allowing us to be more spontaneous and far more creative in our thinking. To rediscover your childhood curiosity, you need to allow yourself to just wonder about things. Detach yourself from what you thought was real, and place yourself in the here and now. This exercise will help you to develop methods to earn money online which are unique to the market.
2. Form New Ideas From Existing Ones
You do not need to be a college graduate to be innovative. You just need to make a connection between existing ideas. For instance, are you aware of the fact that ice cream was invented in 2000 BC? That being the case, it still took another 3900 years for someone to come up with the idea of a cone. It is when you take two seemingly unrelated items, and put them together in a manner that makes so much sense, that genius has been executed.
3. Defy Logic
In the Western World, we have this notion that every idea has to make sense, and cannot remain a mystery. We want to be able to solve every problem, and answer each and every question. However, to be ingenious, you have to be okay with things that do not make sense. The Eastern World in more in line with this conflicting way of thought.
4. Make It Laughable
It has been stated that the creativity of a workplace can be measured by a laugh-o-meter. I suppose a laugh-o-meter is a device which measures the degree of laughter. The reason why this statement was made, is because humor is one of the greatest creative devices. It jolts us out of our normal patterns and puts ideas together that should not fit. I has actually been found that after listening to comedy recordings, students’ ability to solve problems increases by 60%.
5. Push Cognition Through The Boundaries
Many of the products which we take for granted today are the result of people thinking outside their limits. One computer pioneer recalled attending a computer conference back in the 1980′s. In particular, someone had joked that the next invention would be computerized door locks. When this pioneer went back to the same hotel 20 years later, all the doors used computer-programmed key cards.
6. Adopt and Adapt
The great thing is that you can be an innovator by taking something that someone else’s creativity has put together, and improving upon it. For example, glasses were invented hundreds of years ago. However, contact lenses are more recent. Contact lenses take the concept of creating a lens to correct vision, and add the technology to that it can be placed directly on the eye. The person who invented contact lenses did not invent the concept of corrective lenses, however, they did improve upon it.
7. Your Dreams Have A Message
Both night and day dreaming can create a rich flow of ideas. This is due to the fact that when we relax, we let the subconscious mind work by itself. The Roffey Park Management Institute calls this “washing-up creativity”. The name was coined due to the fact that most flashes of inspiration come when we are walking the dog, taking a nap, or doing the washing up.
